Questions

Before you send it in

Will I get an estimate before any work begins?

Yes. Every watch gets a full diagnostic first, and we send a detailed estimate. Nothing proceeds until you approve it.

Is it safe to mail my watch to you?

Yes. We offer mail-in service with packaging guidance, and return shipping is insured and tracked. Return shipping is free with every complete service; for other work it is added to your estimate. Include the matching watch or jewellery repair form in the package.

How often should a mechanical watch be serviced?

Generally every four to six years, depending on how and where it's worn. We service based on condition, not age alone, because unnecessary disassembly causes wear.

My quartz watch stopped. Does it need a full service?

Usually a battery is enough. We test the watch first and only recommend further work if it's needed. Water-resistant watches should be pressure tested and resealed after a battery change.

Can you service a watch if the parts are no longer made?

Often, yes. We source original parts, fabricate them, or adapt a solution, always aiming to keep the watch as original as possible.

Why is there fog under my crystal?

Moisture has entered the case, usually through aging gaskets. Send it in promptly so it can be dried, cleaned and resealed before corrosion sets in.

What warranty do you provide?

All repairs and services carry a 12-month service guarantee.

Do you offer rush service?

For select services such as batteries, resealing and polishing, often yes. Contact us before sending so we can confirm timing.
